Red Monkey Beach Lodge

Super entspannte Zeit! Die Lodge liegt am südlichen Zipfel von Jambiani direkt am Strand. Abends kommen die einheimischen Jungs und spielen Fußball ansonsten ist man weitestgehend für sich. Nahezu keine lästigen Verkäufer, für die dann aber ein einfaches nein danke ausreichte. Ebbe und Flut sind hier sehr stark ausgeprägt, was dafür ein wahnsinniges Spektakel bietet da noch mehr Farben zu erleben sind. Der Pool ist sehr angenehm temperiert, man findet immer eine Liege, im Restaurant gibt es Drinks und gutes Essen von morgens bis abends. Ab und zu schauen ein paar Red Monkeys vorbei. Das Personal war immer super freundlich, unsere Kinder haben sich sehr wohlgefühlt und wurden sogar immer bespaßt. Wir bedanken uns sehr und kommen sicherlich wieder.

Jammern auf höchstem Niveau, die Dusche am Pool müsste mal wieder überholt werden, was noch wünschenswert gewesen wäre, wäre eine kleine Wäscheleine auf dem Balkon gewesen. (Wir haben allerdings auch nicht gefragt :))

J'ai apprécié la proximité avec la plage, la mer., c'était magnifique. Petites huttes, habitations très sympathiques. La piscine est superbe.

Je n'avais pas remarqué qu'il n'y avait pas de climatisation... Ouffffff ce fût terrible, des nuits très chaudes d'insomnie. Les femmes de chambre fort sympathiques m'ont apporté un ventilateur sur pied ha ha ha très apprécié mais chaud quand même.

We appreciated the experience of being on the beach on the windward side of the island. It was an experience to be able to walk far out on the tidal flat at low tide.

We were placed in what was probably the worst room on the property and there were several problems with being in that room. There was a security post and gathering point for hotel staff right outside our window and hotel personnel tended to gather there to keep each other company, talking loudly late into the night. (I note that the room did not have air condiitioning, and that is not a complaint, but it means that our windows were always open.) There was a deficiency in our privacy. People regularly passed by our windows. There were curtains to block their view, but over time, the wind would blow these curtains to the side. Also, to the extent that these curtains stayed in place, they interferred with the entry of fresh air from outside, and this current of fresh air was needed because the ambiant temperature was 26 to 28 C each night. Another problem: an emergency generator for the entire hotel complex was situated next to our room and there was significant noise from this generator in our room. This generator ran all night on two of the three nights that we stayed there.

Veel geluid rondom. En jammer dat de zee heel vies was bij vloed en er bij eb een dikke laag zeewier op het strand lag.

El personal muy amable y atento. Un sitio muy tranquilo y perfecto para desconectar.

The room, in general, was good: spacious and clean. The breakfast was nice.

the windows, which had no glass (only protective grilles), were terrible because all the outside noise (and wind) could be heard, creating a constant feeling of insecurity at night. The beach in front of the hotel did not offer a pleasant view due to a pile of accumulated seaweed and should at least be cleaned. The fan makes a terrible noise as well so impossible to sleep ( an AC would be better)

Erg vriendelijk personeel en altijd bereid te helpen. Snelle service qua eten en prima ontbijt. Accomodatie ligt in rustige hoek van Jambiani en sfeer is gemoedelijk.

Faciliteiten zijn helaas een stuk minder dan de foto’s voordoen. Zowel de lodges als het terrein (sanitair) zijn sterk verouderd/verroest raster voor de ramen en een wc die met moeite doorspoelt. Daardoor is en voelt het minder hygiënisch, ondanks dat er wel goed wordt schoongemaakt. Zwembad kan ook schoner.. Voor het geld dat we hebben betaald en het cijfer op booking hadden we meer verwacht, zeker in vergelijking met de andere accomodaties op het eiland. Al met al, tijd voor een renovatie voor deze prijs.

Pobyt z dziećmi : 3lata i 1 rok. Bardzo przyjazna rodzinna atmosfera. Jest bezpiecznie. Obsługa podpowie i odpowie na każde pytanie. Nie trzeba martwić się o podwózkę. Bardzo dobre jedzenie zarówno europejskie jak i lokalne. Bardzo cicha i spokojna okolica. Warto przyjechać z dziećmi. Mają ciepłą wodę i własny generator prądu, co nie jest oczywistym standardem w tym kraju.
