La Cima del Mundo

The house is lovely and very cozy, perfect for our family of four. Everything was quite clean and the decor very tasteful. There is a nice play area with toys for the kids, a very well-stocked kitchen and a lovely trail to walk on just behind the house. Swin was exceedingly helpful, kind and gracious and provided everything that we needed, including plenty of ideas for activities to do in the area. And the setting of the property is absolutely stunning, with beautifully kept gardens and soaring views. We would absolutely stay there again in the future!

We loved staying at La Cima Del Mundo. Our best place so far in Costa Rica. Jed and Swin are very nice and welcoming, the house is well equipped. Our kids loved the place and played with the owner’s kid.

For a property that is so isolated from the nearest town, I would have expected the house to be a bit further away from other houses too. Owner's home is right next to the rental house, and they can see right in. The curtains provide no privacy. At the time of my booking the property said pet friendly, but we didn't realize that meant we weren't to leave our dogs home alone for an hour or two. Just a misunderstanding of the rules I guess, because the owner was unhappy. More clear rules would have been appreciated, we probably wouldn't have stayed there had we known.

It was a great place for us as a family to go on great hikes and stay in and cook and just enjoy the view. The host was wonderful and had gathered great tips on what to do in the neighborhood. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed and the terrace with the bbq was beautiful. Do not miss the mirador from the owners place.

Well, it is a bit far from the main road and you need a 4x4, but that is what is nice about it.

Amazing hosts, comfortable bed, abundant of birds, nice trail through the jungle that starts at the doorstep, well equipped kitchen , if you like the nature it is the place to be. We have had an amazing time while staying at the property. There is an outdoor open fire ( the owners provide the wood and starters ) that will make your evenings very special. Thank you Swin and Jedy for creating this amazing place !!!!!

Very easy communication and friendly hosts. The sound of the wind through the trees and the cool temperatures were a perfect respite from the beach!

A very lovely place a few minutes from town, well worth the extra driving minutes for the great view and calm. We has the two bedroom house, everything was perfect. The French owners are very sweet and helpful for any questions. There were comments about difficult road access but it clearly has been improved since, we had a 4x4 but the road is a very easy matter at time of writing.

Nothing to complain about

The cottage is very cosy with everything you need in the kitchen and comfortable beds. The location is really peaceful at the end of the road with amazing views and lots of birds in the garden. This really is the perfect place for those looking for peace and quiet in nature. The host helps you with plenty of suggestions what to do. Upon arrival we were so charmed by the cottage and the nearby surroundings that we decided to stay longer than planned.
