Het is een perfecte locatie om naar de kliffen te rijden waar je de papegaaiduikers heel dichtbij kan zien! De gastheer gaf ons de tip om na het avondeten te gaan: dit was een super goede tip! Ook hebben we lekker gegeten in het hotel.

Het hotel ligt erg afgelegen en is bereikbaar via een deels onverharde weg. Ook zijn er geen andere restaurants of een winkel in de nabije omgeving.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but looks can be deceiving! Rooms are quite large and very nice. The dining room is wonderful and I definitely recommend that you sign up for dinner when you arrive! Highly recommend!

The room was nice, hotel was close enough to puffin cliffs. Host was friendly.

View was of cars, not really ocean. Besides homemade bread, was hoping for a more icelandic breakfast.

Friendly owner and homey stay

The drive in was horrible - mainly gravel and a lot of pot holes

The Hotel Latrabjarg is a gem. Modest room but the views were fantastic as we had a corner room with large windows on 2 sides. The dining room is decorated with charming antique tables, upholstered chairs and knick knacks. Dinner was delicious-we had Arctic Char and chocolate mousse dessert. The host Vladimir and his wife were both very welcoming and friendly. My husband and I had very interesting conversations with them. The location was fantastic for seeing the puffins later in the evening when they return the sea to their burrows. Since we stayed out until 11pm, having the hotel less than 30 min away was very convenient. (Although the road to the hotel and the puffins at Latrabjarg lighthouse are not paved. Gravel and dirt. So driving can be slow.)

Most Icelandic guesthouses and hotels are 50% more expensive than what you can find in U.S. cities. Likely because the tourist season is limited by the weather. Bathrooms are typically also very small. In that regard, this hotel is comparable to other 3 stars in Iceland.
