Shoreland Lodges - Holly Lodge

The property itself was very well equipped, with amazing features - log burner and jacuzzi!! The location is absolutely breathtaking!! Sitting right on the water side with views that you will never tire of!!

The location, the hosts, the view, the hot tub, the facilities all in all a great place and experience that won’t be forgotten.

We had a free lift tomand from fort Augustus but we have been told a path is going in as a walking route would of been nice to do.

The property was outstanding, so so clean and warm. Everything was top-notch, it had everything you need for self catering and would highly recommend it 👌

Stay wasn't long enough

The pillows were rather uncomfortable.

Modern cottage right on Loch Ness. Excellent property, clean, very comfortable, layout was great and everything like new. The hot tub was a perfect end to a day of adventure. Our only wish was to have more time to stay there longer. This place is a "must stay" during your trip.

There is very little we didn't like, but I guess there is always room for improvement. The latch on the master suite bathroom didn't work, but the lock did, so very minor. We didn't see where the outdoor fire pit was, but we wouldn't have used it anyways.

The property is absolutely out of this world! The location, facilities and furnishings were all top notch, and the Janet (the host) was super helpful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back next time. Thank you!

That we couldn’t stay longer!

The location only

The cutlery was dated and had rust stain marks, and all ceramic plates and cups showed extensive signs of grey metal staining due to extensive use. The glasses provided were old, too. The cabinets were mostly empty; in one of them, there was a food-stained plastic jug that looked disgusting. There was only one worn-out kitchen cloth and no paper towels. The dining table was small and only suitable for two. The single plastic-coated armchair was old, the plastic flaking off, looking like cat scratches. The cushions were overused and flat. There were only a few bathroom towels for the bath and the hot tub for the whole week, and they were worn out and beyond their lifetime. The bed linens were dated, and they did not fit the pillows or duvets, which were old. One pillowcase in the master bedroom had an old stain. Pillows lost their support over the years, and there were two flat pillows on each bed. Looking at the ceiling, I noticed a large crack in the ceiling near the recessed LED light. The carpet in the smaller bedroom had staining. Contrary to the website description, we faced a place that lacked basic standards for staying during our holiday. We were disappointed and decided to return home the next morning, letting Shoreland Lodges know of our departure. We feel it is a disgrace to charge nearly £2000 for this accommodation. We requested a refund but it was declined after a couple of communication emails.

Absolutely fabulous place and location. Very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Great hot tub for evening relaxation. Superb.
