"Just what we were after!"

Great living area, kitchen and master bedroom. Showers worked brilliantly and everything was spotless. Plenty of hot water and 2 bathrooms is ideal for 3 adults. Well maintained & quiet site, beautiful bird song, wild rabbits & ducks aplenty. Nice outside seat area and easy to park. We didn’t use the hot-tub but it also looked clean & well maintained. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

2nd bedroom: tiny and its twin beds very small for an adult like me, it’s a lodge though, so to be expected. The vacuum cleaner filled the entire 2nd bedroom wardrobe so you couldn’t hang anything - we put it in the dining corner, there was plenty of room, so it really wasn’t a problem once it was moved. We were unlucky with the weather and there was nowhere to hang our dripping wet coats, the lodge is clearly loved & cared for and we wanted to keep it nice, so perhaps a little coat rack on a drip mat could be squeezed in? Nothing to do with the lodge but we assumed such a large site would have had a little shop for supplies such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, milk, washing up liquid etc, (not in the lodge - which seems to be a thing everywhere since Covid) so take your own as there is nowhere to buy them on site and Alnwick is your nearest shopping centre.

lodge was brilliant, couldn’t improve on anything inside

only a small problem trees need trimming around hot tub area, and electric went off for 2 hours which we were unaware of until we tried to get into hot tub
