Beautiful and comfortable lodge very scenic

Amenities/facilties are too far away from lodges. Better organisation of recycling bins and appropriate dog bins within the area

The lodges was absolutely spotless, there was not a spider or web in sight. The kitchen was so equipped with utensils, cookware etc we wanted for nothing Everything was laid out lovely and was perfect for the 4 of us. The beds were wonderfully comfy and large too The lodge was warm and well controlled with Central Heating Our daughter lived in the hot tub, she thought it was great come rain or shine Things to take with you, toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid (there is a dishwasher but the washing up liquid came in handy) The location, views were superb and you never got the same view twice - beautiful All the TV's are smart and have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney + capability. Just make sure you log out before you leave, the previous occupants hadn't There is a Google version of Alexa in the kitchen so you can listen to the DAB Radio Stations

We found the hot tub to be heavily chlorinated, I understand why but even after showers we could still smell it. The fire in the lounge just wouldn't ignite. We mentioned it to reception and they sent someone to check it, left us a note to say it was working, we tried and got a brief flame and then nothing (BUT the Central Heating worked very efficiently so we were okay)

Beautiful setting, everything you need, provided I. The lodge even a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival. Lovely quiet location with great views.

The only downside was the early checkout at 10am on Sunday. I completely understand an early checkout in a hotel if you have guests arriving later that day ( although most hotels have an 11am Sunday checkout) but when staying in a self catering lodge, it takes time to repack all the food, drink , belongings etc you brought for the weekend for a large group of people. . Having arrived later than planned on Friday night because of an accident which shut the road to Aberfeldy, we had a lovely day on Saturday , went out for dinner Saturday night.. However on our return back to the lodge that night , we had to start packing up tidying up, empty out all the food from the fridge etc,then all get up early on Sunday morning to allow for showers , breakfast .before 10am for 5 people. Even if the checkout was at 12, it would give guests enough time to pack up all their belongings and have breakfast before check out . As it was we went to bed early to make the 10am checkout which put a damper on my birthday celebrations on the Saturday night. An otherwise fabulous break in a beautiful setting but would put us off returning as it felt rushed

The property was well furnished and very clean. It was also very spacious and great for a family get together with 2 dogs. The staff at the main office were lovely.

It is quite expensive but good quality accommodation.

The facilities and cleanliness within the property were very good. The property had ample parking and outdoor space.

Blinds were difficult to close. Doors in the living room were difficult to open.

The location is so nice, very peaceful.

This time around we felt like the lodge was not properly cleaned for us arriving. Some parts were dirty and we even found someone’s smelly socks in the wardrobe. We experienced a power cut for one full day of our stay which really put a damper on things, with 3 young kids in the pitch black with nothing was hard. There was a piece of art on the wall in the hallway that came flying off and nearly hurt my son’s head, so that clearly wasn’t put up properly. So sad to write this as last year we stayed in the Tanfield and had the best time but this time around wasn’t the same unfortunately.

The lodge is in a great location. It was warm and cosy inside with everything that you would need to hand. The kitchen/lounge is spacious and bright, with lovely views from all the windows.

The location of the lodge at the park was tricky to find as the signs were very small and difficult to recognise, especially as we arrived as the light was fading.
