Acorn Glade Glamping York

The perfect retreat for peace and quiet. We had such a lovely couple of days at Acorn Glade, away from London. Wendy and Andrew were the most kind hosts. So much care and thought had gone in to everything on the site. We stayed in the bluebell lodge which was so comfortable. The communal kitchen and bathrooms were also great! Thank you, we loved it!

Absolutely brilliant place, we both loved it. Weather was stormy but the cosy wooden cabin with log burner for heat was the perfect place to wait out the storm. Will definitely be returning.

It was a beautiful site, the rooms were cosy and spacious. The log fire added to the overall feel of the room and made for a lovely night by the fire. The lake was tranquil and had lots of interesting wildlife and fish, we particularly enjoyed the boat ride and had a laugh on the hammocks outside while the alpacas roamed free. The facilities were fantastic, more than to be expected, we were surprised by the fantastic array of games, activities and general atmosphere of the venue. The owners were great, very friendly! We felt very welcome and no problem was too much for them, we were even given a ride to the nearest town to get a bus to York as we hadn’t brought our cars which was above and beyond what we had initially thought. We also visited the local pub the Melbourne Arms and had a lovely meal prices for main meals ranged from £14-£30, they do an Indian night on a Thursday which looked fairly cheap We plan to revisit in the future as we had a fantastic time!

I couldn’t think of anything i didn’t like. The only thing worth mentioning is this is somewhere for relaxing and going slightly off grid, I had access to some data and service so was still available in case of emergencies and my partner had full 5g and service so I imagine it depends on the provider but this didn’t at all take away from the experience of anything I felt it added to it as I was able to fully relax and unwind without worrying about work or external issues (just something to bare in mind)

The hosts Wendy and Andrew are lovely and couldn't do more for us during our stay, they both made us feel incredibly welcome. The grounds are stunning, such a peaceful atmosphere. It is truly a special place and will be recommending to everyone I know who needs a nice relaxing break. Also, the alpacas are adorable.

Amazing place! I'm so pleased that we found this little gem! Shared facilities was brilliant! Wendy thought about every single detail :) fire pit, little boat, BBQ, all those little wooden huts! I was speechless when they have introduced me to the area.. beautiful peaceful place. If you like a stay surrounded by nature, off grid, without reception in Your phone then this is the place!

It was really cozy and so well presented. They have thought of literally everything and the little touches are so heart warming. It was exceptionally clean.
