The accommodation essentially consists of about a dozen rooms with ensuite bathrooms along either side of a swimming pool. The rooms were a good size and everything worked. Breakfast is continental, consisting of rolls, jams, and yogurt, and the very helpful hostess can provide filled rolls if you want something for lunch. Cooled drinks of various types are also available. The accommodation is about 100 m from the bird reserve, and ideally placed if you want to spend a full day there with minimum effort or driving. We saw pelicans, herons of various sorts, and many other wading birds, a must-see if you are in the area. In the evening, you can watch bats flying around overhead as the sun sets.

There were no kettles in the room; we couldn’t make coffee; the water was not free; the food they provided was good (sandwiches) but expensive. The breakfast was expensive given the fact that there were no homemade products, just marmalade out of little plastic containers.
