"Good pub for drinks & atmosphere but accommodation not up to much."

1.0

Nice pub, great atmosphere and helpful staff.

The room is actually a flat which is directly above the pub kitchen. There was a terrible smell of rancid chip fat all through, it was awful. We didn’t even unpack, we left immediately and had to find accommodation elsewhere, which at 9pm on a Friday night in a very small village is not easy. We were given a full refund, but it did take the edge of what should have been a relaxing weekend away at a friends wedding.

"Friendly staff and fantastic location but the cottage needs updating."

3.0

The location.

The shower while in use kept going from really hot to freezing. The cold bathroom tap not fixed very well in the sink.

Well situated clean, cosy cottage with everything you need.

The pub was closed on the day of arrival which was a shame as it was raining too but not far to walk to one that was open.
