Desert Days mud cabin's Resort

This was my second time at desert days. I love this place and think it's one of the best places to disconnect and unwind. The concept of the outdoor kitchen and the outdoor bathtubs is great. Each cabin has a chill area outside where you can watch the stars and chill with a glass of wine.

Unfortunately this time I was specifically disappointed with the cleanliness and the breakfast. It was nothing compared to last time. We had a cockroach come out of the kitchen sink (this was the very first time for me seeing one in the desert) and the frying pan was so dirty that I had to clean it for a while before making the eggs for breakfast. Some of the breakfast items, such as the Humus, were unedible as if they were standing in the sun for too long. Also, the bed outside where we would have wanted to stargaze was so dirty and full of dog hair that we ended up not sitting there at all. This was very different from my first time, which I remember as flawless. Consistency is so important and I hope Desert Days will manage to keep it up so I can continue to recommend the place.

This was already the second time we stayed at desert days. And it’s the perfect Place to umwind and be yourself again. breakfast was very good as always. cabin was clean and comfy.

we just noticed that the private plunge pool and the door were not in such a good shape any more Than the year before. a Little redo would help. we stayed at cabin Sara.

Really nice clay cabin with air con and a proper bathroom. Everything worked perfectly, we had a “bath” outside which was really nice. The pool was great and refreshing, and breakfast was well worthwhile. The employees were laidback, helpful and friendly.

The clay oven next to the door had a really bad smell, as if it was made from a different kind of clay to the rest. I’m not sure if this was normal or if it had been treated with something. We left door and window open all night to dissipate the smell, which made for a nice breeze :-) The site on Booking says dinner and breakfast, but after we booked last minute we received the information that food has to be booked a few days in advance. This information should be visible before booking, as it is not unimportant! To be fair, the staff managed to make breakfast possible, which was great, so we took care of dinner ourselves:-)
