Donnelly Lakes

​An incredible 3-night escape! The self-check-in was easy and the cabin was impeccably clean. We loved the feeling of being deep in the forest with total privacy. The dog-friendly walking trails on the property are massive and beautiful. ​Arriving to a ready-to-go fireplace made us feel welcome instantly. The outdoor spa overlooking the lake was the ultimate highlight. If you want to disconnect from the world (no phone service!) but still have Wi-Fi as a backup, this is the place. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway with your partner and pup.

Our only notes would be that the kitchen pots and pans could be improved for those who enjoy cooking. Also, we found the mattress and pillows weren't quite to our liking, but we still slept very well.

I loved the peaceful atmosphere, kayaking on the lake with the kids, and the beautiful walks surrounded by nature. The spa was a hit with the kids, beds were incredibly comfortable, and the cozy chalet (especially with the fire going) made it the perfect relaxing escape.

Where do I even start with this place! This was the first holiday we have been on, where all the kids were crying when we had to pack up to leave 🥹 thats says it all. We have three VERY active kids who love water, so we started every day with early morning forest rides, brekkie back at the chalet, then hours spent out on the lake kayaking, lunch, more water activities, early dinners down at the gazebo, then evenings in the spa listening to Paul Kelly. We really didn’t want this holiday to end. Now to the team. I didn’t get to meet any of the superstars behind this place, but they have thought of absolutely EVERYTHING, and their communication is so warm and kind, it makes you feel so incredibly welcomed and relaxed. Gosh I’m even getting emotional writing this review! Well done to everyone at Donnelly Lakes. In my next life I want to work there, just so I can be around that magical place and it’s people all day, everyday.

Quiet and peacefull

We had a wonderful stay and wish I had booked for a few more days. Very peaceful and relaxing with a beautiful outlook of the lake from our chalet, with fish jumping and kangaroos on our walks even done the bottle maze.

The 3 kilometer drive up to the chalets on the corrugated road which needs to be graded for a smoother drive.

Fantastic location to unwind away from the city and only 30 mins from Pemberton Town! The kids absolutely loved the river and having a paddle, and going to feed the chickens. Looking forward to the next visit.
