Loved the warm welcome. Simone the owner had made us foccaciabread. He made us feel very welcome. Loved the cottage and the sourroundings. Far away from Yeppoon, but definately worth it.

Loved it! Stayed 3 nights in the lake view cabin. Will go again absolutely. What we loved - the place - so beautiful. Peaceful, full of wildlife. Ducks, geese, kingfishers, kookaburras, and at night curlews. and if you are quiet at night, bandicoot. The rainforest walk is lovely. The lake is placid and gorgeous. - the cabin - spacious, clean and loved the fire place. Spa and bathroom were clean and excellent. Spacious shower unit. Kitchen is good and functional. Also has reverse cycle aircon if you don't want a fire in winter. The deck is ideal with a clean BBQ. Chairs are comfy and has a large awning for shade and keeps you out of weather. Home made foccacia bread supplied when we arrived. High quality brands in the bathroom supplies.

What we didn't love - - kitchen - no microwave proof containers to use in the microwave, the fridge is very loud when the condenser kicks in. It can wake u up at night. The tap water i wouldn't drink. It is tank and river water and is discoloured. 4 x 600ml water bottles were left for us in the fridge and the owners will supply more. And being very picky, no potato peeler or strainer or salad bowl. But that's very picky.
