Kiwi Cove Lodge

We loved the big room with great views over the orchard to the inlet and mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and we were given an ample, freshly cooked breakfast.

Nothing not to like!

I had such a great stay. It was very quiet and clean. there were also amazing views with a beautiful deck to sit on. The staff was caring and available if I needed anything. The location is perfect. It’s close to a nice restaurant and a short drive from the down town core of Ladysmith .

Nous étions seuls dans l’hôtel donc pas de petit-déjeuner possible sur place Pour compenser, une carte prépayée de 10 dollars par personne, nous a été fournie pour le Tim Hortons de la station service du coin. Nous étions un peu déçus car le lieu est reposant et la vue superbe le matin mais je comprends la problématique de personnel . Nous reviendrons pour goûter au PDJ qui était noté comme fameux !

great location, great amenities and staff is so welcoming!

This is a quiet, simple little inn, that is warm and comfy. The location is very calm and quiet. Our room overlooked an orchard. Everything was very clean The staff were very accommodating of our late arrival time, and made arrangements so we could access our room after hours. We did not actually see any staff during our stay.

We were very disappointed that breakfast was not available during our stay. The listing for this location had a banner across the top stating that breakfast was included and the reviews about the breakfast were good, so we were very much looking forward to an included homemade breakfast, given the price. However, after we had checked in, we found a note in our room stating that breakfast is not served from November through February. I felt this should have been more clearly stated on the listing (I think it is there near the end, but pretty easy to miss!) as we may have booked a place with breakfast, if we had known it was not actually available at this location, as advertised.

This is the most peaceful, relaxing place. We stayed in the fall so the leaves were turning and it was just breathtaking. It is quiet, clean, and cozy. The host is also absolutely wonderful. (Seriously, one of the kindest people you will ever meet!) This place embodies what it means to be Canadian, and proudly shows off the beauty of Vancouver Island. I honestly believe that if you don’t enjoy this place, it has something to do with you, not Kiwi Lodge. I would a thousand percent recommend this place and stay here again in a heartbeat!
