Caracal Lodge

The surroundings and area is so green and beautiful. If you love nature this is the ideal place for that. Very peaceful and you most definitely feel like you on a holiday. They have the best house keeping service and the hosts are very welcoming.

It was off the grid, with stunning views and had all comforts of home. The lodge also has beautiful animals to view and friendly pet dogs and a pet pig.

It wasn't clean, the curtains must be cleaned in the rooms and the lounge. The bathrooms were not cleaned properly as well. There is full sand and dirt around the ceilings and the ceiling fans in the rooms have stuck on dirt that needs a good cleaning session. There is no lighting in the bathroom with the shower and extremely bad lighting in the other bathroom.

The host and surrounding were lovely. The dogs and animals too.

Facilities need an upgrade. Chalet was not as clean as we would have liked, but was rectified when we pointed it out to the cleaning staff. There was a mouse in the kitchen while we slept, which did make it unpleasant, however we do understand that this is a farm after all.

Craig's hospitality, the quietness, the stars, the sounds of the birds, Moose ... and the very special arrival of the baby bush pig, of course 😉
