Perfect location to backpack from south/central Malaysia to the Perhentian Islands! Took the train up north till Temangan (the owners will pick you up any time from the station) and then we had a super nice evening in Betiks little garden resort (beers by the pool). The next morning fresh own grown Papayas from their garden & and later they organized us a driver to the jetty in Besut (:

To be honest.. Nothing!! I was overwhelmed by their hospitality.

The owners are very nice and helpful, you can go there with your eyes closed. 👌🏽

We have travelled extensively around Malaysia over the past years and we know that good accommodation is hard to come by in rural areas, such as in Kelantan. Betik Garden is an exception to this. The small-scale resort has a unique location, on the shores of the mighty Kelantan River. We stayed in the river side cabin. The cabin itself comes with a comfortable bed, a powerful shower and good AC. We also liked the communal areas such as the kitchen, the covered dining area and the pool. Our room and the rest of the resort are very clean. The best of the resort are its host Ryan and Michelle. They make sure you will have a comfortable stay. Michelle and Ryan are truly hospitable and know exactly what seasoned travellers need. Throughout our stay we enjoyed the personal touches and the conversations with our hosts. Also, they provided us with lots of local tips, which made our stay more interesting. If you are travelling in Kelantan, don’t hesitate and stay in this wonderful resort. Highly recommended.
