Mountain View Lodge

I liked how the shower tub was clean and new. Owner was very communicative. When the faucet handle fell off, I let him know, and he said it was ok, as long as the water was able to be shut off still. Owner was very flexible with both our check-in and check-out times since there were no other booking for our room alongside ours. There also was no extra charge for 2 additional guests (total of 4) for one night for a double bed room.

- No room service (was not mentioned prioir to my stay) - No extra blankets (blankets were very thin; I ended up using two towels as extra blankets) - No microwave (despite me contacting the owner to confirm if there was, and he said that all rooms had a microwave) - Rooms could use some extra cleaning (cobwebs, drawers) - When we got to the room, the room was already unlocked and the key was in the doorknob (not in the lockbox, as the owner had mentioned in his check-in instructions), which made us feel a little bit uneasy - Couldn't connect to wifi - Shared building deck looked old and rundown - The 4.5 cumulative review on Google Maps is a bit misleading, since it's for both the restaurant and motel. Big rooms and nice bathrooms with a door for toilet/ tub. Nice size mini fridge. Friendly and helpful staff.

Key lock box was confusing and we were given the wrong code.

We were completely blown away with how clean our room was! Our room had everything needed for a perfect stay. They thought of everything! Not only that, when we got back to our room, we heard music. After some investigation. we realized that a young lady playing acoustic guitar with an incredible voice was performing in the restaurant/bar. We walked over for a nightcap where everyone was so friendly and kind. We will definitely be back!!

Excellent large room, clean facility, comfortable bed, restaurant had great food, local park was close and fun to walk.
