It was a lovely place. They had a lot of cats that were very friendly. The room was very cute, and the dinner was lovely.

It was a bit hard to find. Google maps wasn't able to properly direct us to the hotel.

This hotel is the definition of a hidden gem! Very calm, quiet, and understated yet a few minutes walk to the beach where you can watch the sunset. My room looked exactly like the pictures, which was great. I was a female solo traveller and the only guest at the time, but Angy and her staff were all very personable and helped me feel comfortable. They helped me with my transport needs and various requests without hassle. If you want a place to unplug yet have easy access to Michamvi, this is a great place to stay!

WiFi can come in and out, especially at night. I don't think that's completely within their control, but something for future guests to keep in mind. Also be mindful of electricity and water usage, as you can see lights starting to dim if too many are on at once.

Our mistake was to book a lodge, by nature you get more bugs and they are not soundproof at all. Noisy hotel nearby playing African music for foreigners.

Beautiful peaceful setting with friendly, kind staff. Use of natural materials creates a really calm space with a nice pool and plenty of space to relax. Food was tasty. Very quick walk to the beach where there are lots of different restaurants and some resorts will let you use their loungers if you buy food or for a small cost.

Even by Zanzibar standards, there are a lot of cats! This wasn't actually a negative for us as we love cats, but if you have allergies or a dislike of cats, it might not be the place for you!
