Tarcutta Retreat

It was a former aged care facility and was extremely dusty throughout the entire complex, lacked thorough cleaning, and had poorly maintained walls, raising concerns about overall maintenance and hygiene standards.

There was mini fridge in the room.

Stayed in room 4. We were in a 2 bed room. The single bed was completely unusable, the springs were visible and so had to share the double bed. The sheets were also questionable- unsure if clean or not. The bathroom was not clean, there was dried up soap from the previous occupants left out on the sink. It was dusty, carpet wasn't cleaned. And the lamp broke when we turned it on. For that price, it was not acceptable.

The location. Pet friendly

The Wifi on the TV did not work. The design of the building where the room was situated did not provide privacy to room. People/other guesta could see what we are doing so we were forced to keep our blinds closed and block the view to the view to the garden. It felt like a cave. The shower flooded the whole bathroom. 1 washer to share between 2 guests. No milk for coffees or teas.

Perfect for what we needed at this point in our trip

Bernadette very friendly and helpful, gave me chocolates and nuts as the pub kitchen had closed for dinner already. Room spacious and very clean.

The piece and quiet.

Clean, comfortable, large bed and just what we needed for a one night stay passing through. Make sure you have dinner at Tarcutta pub!

We had room 5 and The bed was about to fall down so we had the get out the battery drill and fix it. Bernadette the host was very grateful and I’m sure who stays in room 5 from now on will be too!

Staff, bedding & location were great

I would think in Summer it might be hot as no air-conditioning but there is a ceiling fan but I like it cold
