Valley View

Located in a great area for exploring the Northumberland coast. Very clean comfortable the owners went the extra mile , to leave us a bottle of wine and Prosecco on arrival. We’ll stock kitchen.

The property was spacious, modern and clean. The view is stunning. There were four of us and there was more than enough space. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for self catering. This property is faultless and we thought that that chocolates and wine on arrival was such a lovely gesture.

We can’t fault the property, however the site does lack a proper shop and somewhere to eat. We visited the Bari bar on site twice during our stay but had to drive there. We managed perfectly well but I would recommend that you take food with you for the first night.

The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and clean. The view over the golf course was beautiful. The location just off A1 was ideal. Great as a base to see Cragside, Alnwick Castle and Beamish. The ice cream van was a bonus too.

Was surprised by the walking distance to Baribar. Surprised but not unwalkable. They provide live entertainment some Saturday nights.

We had a lovely stay in a wonderful location.

Clean interior of caravan complemented by two compact bedrooms furnished with three beds (double+two singles). Two bathrooms [one ensuite] were also clean, albeit compressed in size. Heating system produced ample hot water, and presumably can heat up the large radiators even during colder seasons. Hosts kindly left several extra goodies such as chocolates and bottle of wine.

One single bed tightly fitted against wardrobe makes a bit of a scrunch for 6' person. Additional sofabed in kitchen-living area (spare bedding provided) was less restful - one couple chose to stay elsewhere for second night. If advertised as accommodating four people (or maybe 6 if small children), we might have found the space more comfortable. Visitors might prefer to know that entry gates to caravan site are locked between 2000hrs and 0900hrs. Proximity to neighbouring caravans renders privacy a challenge.

Beautifully presented throughout. Everything we could wish for was included within the lodge. From the cupboards stocked with DVD’s and board games etc, to the chocolates and wine left for our arrival. Perfect!

Lovely comfortable lodge in a quiet location Beautifully decorated and a real home from home Lovely view and handy for a number of places to visit being about 10 minutes from the A1. We would stay there again.
