Green Mountain Homestay

Very friendly staff, nice location and rooms!

This was my favourite stay in Vietnam so far. It is quiet and peaceful: a homestay down a side road so away from anything else. Views of the mountains and fields. Such an oasis compared to the touristy parts of tam coc etc. Very clean. Food was fantastic I ended up eating 3 meals a day here for 3 days straight! The dorm room and food is very good quality for the price. Family that runs the homestay are nice and helpful. You can hire bicycles for free or a mountain bike for 70k/day. You can also hire a motorbike. They can do laundry (but I personally wouldn’t get this done again). There’s a pool and loungers by the pool. I ended up spending so much time just at the homestay as it was so peaceful. Overall it was a brilliant stay and I would definitely recommend and come back again.

The scenery is absolutely stunning and it’s such a tranquil and relaxing place. The room was spacious and comfortable and clean. We had a lovely time and the hosts were fantastic. They were very helpful and really nice. We rented two mountain bikes to get about which were really reasonably priced. Can’t recommend this place more!

Probably my favorite place we stayed in our two weeks in Vietnam and certainly the best value. The bungalows are very cute, the bathrooms are fantastic although could use a ventilation fan. There are lots of places to curl up with a book on the property and it’s nearby to many attractions, yet in a very quiet and low traffic area. The beds were also the most comfortable we experienced, very soft, which was a relief after many nights of extra firm beds.

Breakfast was only okay, nothing special.

We enjoyed our stay here during our short visit. Everything was as pictured, a good size room with a nice big front window and patio, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was superb. It was very central between Trang An boat departures and Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, and there were a few other restaurants (rec: Forest Sunset Bar & Restaurant) and a mini-mart nearby. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the view (unfortunately the lotus had already been harvested), and the ambient lighting at night was magical. The food at the restaurant was decent (local specialty goat dish pictured), and we enjoyed the breakfast in particular which was made to order and promptly served. We used their scooters to get around which were in passable condition but very cheap to rent. They also had free bicycles without gears or you could rent a better grade bike too. The resident dogs were a bonus addition.

It’s a gem!! Beautiful garden (in the middle of the nature) and interiors, very good food (especially the Bún Bo), absolutely nice staff. We really really loved it here and would 100/10 recommend it!!
