Wild River Side

Very nice and calm place in the jungle. Near the national park. Very helpful owner. I like style of cottages and whole area. Lot of space in the room (so it should be more hooks on clothes).

Between roof and ceilng of my cottage were bees. Sometimes one go through to the room. In the morning monkeys jump over the roof, so it was noisy :-)

I really enjoyed my staying at Wild River Side. The host was friendly and with a great organisation skills. Many thanks for welcome drink, amazing breakfasts and well organised Safari where we were lucky to see elephants that much close! P.S. Elephant Transit Home is in around 700 - 750 meters from this place which was very important for me as it was one of the main reasons of my trip to Udawalawa

One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka. The host was really caring and did everything he could to make us feel welcomed. Not only did he arrange a private morning safari for us (for a good price), but also welcomed us with fresh juice and prepared delicious, huge breakfast and dinner. Everything fresh and home-made. The rooms were really clean and spacious. It’s a short walk from the main road so it was peaceful and quiet all day and night. All you could hear is the sound of nature. There’s a hammock in the garden, perfect for enjoying all of that. We regret staying there only one night! Would definitely go back.
