Cecropia Ecolodge

We really loved our stay at cecropia ecolodge. The owners were so nice and gave us useful recommendation that only locals know about trips in this area. We really liked the sustainability of this property and that you stay so close to nature there. They really take care of the plants and the animals and also the night walk was fascinating. This property was our favourite stay at our costa rica trip and if we come again we would definitly stay there again.

everything was perfect

This is such a beautiful place nestled in the jungle. The staff are really friendly, the room is comfortable and includes a lot of nice details. In the morning and afternoon they put our food for the birds. They even have an adorable little puppy! I wish I could have stayed longer.

They weren’t doing any of the tours that are listed on their website when I was there because it was super rainy. So it’s not really their fault.

Cabins are nice, staff is very friendly. Breakfast watching the many variety of birds was wonderful.

Authentic rain forest experience with lovely staff, great food and amazing wildlife. At breakfast you can see dozens of types of birds, including toucans.

The hosts and the staff are amazing. The food was authentic and tasty. The garden is beautiful and it is easy to watch many beautiful birds in the morning.

It is important to have an all-wheel drive car.

Lovely property. Beautiful trail through the forest with a spectacular platform structure overlooking the valley for yoga, writing, meditation etc. Wonderful hosts. Fabulous birds at breakfast. Delicious breakfasts and dinners.

Just be aware that the last 3KM to the property are on a very rough gravel road. I made it without a 4WD, but I definitely needed the clearance of my SUV. If it were raining heavily, I might have had a difficult time in some of the steeper spots.

I could spend the time with wonderful nature and creatures. I really enjoyed watching many kinds of birds and frogs day and night. We can trail around the lodge. It was amazing. Host is very kind and friendly to me and she gave me detailed directions to the lodge. And she cooked tasty dinner I really recommend to stay this lodge.

Great stay as always!

Friendly staff and owners. Great hideout in the middle of the jungle. We've seen many frogs, birds and other animals there. The night tour with Jay was awesome 😀

It's an amazing place for feeling in nature. Fabulous birds and frogs. The lookout is lovely and the trails well maintained. Noel and Jay are so passionate. Super comfy bed. Food is great, dinner is $12pp at the lodge or there is another place close by, by car, with menu options. In the wet, you need a 4x4 to get there...which they recommend in the instructions. No problem if you have one, an easy drive

Not a dislike but be prepared for rain in the rainy season, it takes while for things to dry.
