Das Personal gibt individuelle Tipps für Wanderrouten und kennt sich in der Region sehr gut aus. Außerdem sehr schöne Lage fürs wandern durch die gute Busanbindung und Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus.

Superb location in Alpine valley with beautiful views of meadows and mountains. Situated across from the historic Maria Gern pilgrimage church. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet, bus across the road took us into Berchtesgaden and Hauptbahnhof. Traditional music in restaurant on Thursday nights, good local food and so pleasant to eat out on the large terrace.

Only thing I would change is not being bitten by mosquitoes while sleeping! (My friend was unaffected.)

What a beautiful location. I had been to the little church, Maria Gern, 2X prior so I was excited to stay in this area. This hotel has been in the family for over 150 yrs and it was wonderful. Breakfast was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were on the 3rd floor (USA floors) with a balcony view of the church (no elevator). Just peaceful and the fresh air was outstanding. The room was large enough for our twin beds and the temperature was good. We could watch the morning fog lift over the mtns daily. Since we had a car, getting to the Eagle's Nest, the Salt Mines, Konig See and the Wimbachklamm areas was easy enough. This hotel is truly the typical German style. We did not eat in the restaurant as it was not open on our days. We would definitely stay at this Gasthof again and recommend it highly.

Perhaps different pillows ... these were quite thin.

Lage ist top, Bus fährt jede Stunde und pünktlich. Frühstück lecker, Zimmer immer sauber, Leute sehr nett und flink❤️

Wir waren für 10 Übernachtungen dort und haben uns beide wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon mit Blick auf die Kirche Maria Gern, die direkt nebenan ist. Der Blick auf den Watzmann morgens aus dem Frühstücksraum war ein besonderes "Extra". Das Zimmer - eigentlich ein kleines Appartment mit getrenntem Schlafzimmer und Wohnraum - war sauber, die Betten bequem und nicht durchgelegen o.ä. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut - wir haben hier nichts vermisst. Wir haben dort auch im Restaurant gegessen - hier gab es ebenfalls nichts auzusetzen. Das Personal war stets überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sollten wir nochmal in der Gegend sein, würden wir jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.
