Hillside Log cabin, Ardoch Lodge, Strathyre

The location of the cabin was perfect. It was a short walk into the village and was very close to a couple of great walks. There was no light, or noise, pollution and the double bed was very comfortable. It was set in the grounds of the main house but was far enough to still feel quite isolated. I was allowed, and encouraged, to explore the grounds which included woodland which my dog loved I was made to feel very welcome and the welcome gift of shortbread and whiskey was very much appreciated. I left feeling relaxed and happy.

There was nothing that I didn't like although I would advise other travellers to use the slippers provided as the floors are quite cold in the morning (like most places without carpet)

this is an excellent little lodge and the setting is beautiful in October. there’s just something special about chilling with a log burner that made our weekend extra special.

we couldn’t fault anything.
