Location is excellent and in a quiet area Everything you need contained at the retreat and lovely little touches

Beautiful quiet little Lodge

Cute very thought out. Great location. Lovely history. Just what the dr ordered. Down side outside control of the property was that restaurants shut early in Mersea as we found out. Pizza place was nice but not what was planned.

The retreat was in a lovely quiet setting. Location was great, within a very short walking distance to the centre and the beach front. Great communication from the host with clear checking in and out instructions. Attention to detail with little added touches here and there was fab! We would most definitely stay here again.

It was clean. Decor was pleasant. Nicely prepared. Comfortable.

Unfortunately the approach to the property was a little awkward. To the side of the house, obstructed by a vehicle. No signage for The Retreat. The property is called something complete different. Had to call property owner to check we were in the right place. Lady on phone was very helpful and friendly. Instruction sent were just not clear. Maybe some signage would be useful.

Lovely cosy room. Clean, nice decor and felt private. Responsive hosts and helpful
