the location and sauna

the facilities are very poor - kitchen and bathroom and the cleanliness is very low

the view was 100% the best thing about the place, absolutely outstanding. After that the staff were very nice and helpful and the price was excellent value for money. i booked a caboose, switched from number 6 (because it was right by party central in front of the communal area) to number 10 down the back. Lovely and quiet. A good choice in summer as it is beneath the trees but I expect it could be cold and damp in winter as it smelled a little musty. the caboose itself was fine, clean linen, room and tidy. I knew not to expect wifi so had already charged my devices and there were charging points available in the common areas.

There are a lot of fridges for guests but they were packed. Not sure why as the place wasn't full but was not easy squeezing my few things in there. And they did not look sparkling clean... there seemed to be woofers/long termers who dominate the place, not particularly welcoming. Not an issue for me as I was only there for one night.

On January 4, I spent a night at Solscape with my family. When we arrived there were two keys ready, one for the family room and one for room 5. In room 5 there was someone in the bottom bed. In consultation with the owner, we removed a mattress from room 5 and placed it on the floor in our room. Instead of sleeping there with my family, 6 of us slept in that house. This was not comfortable. Especially because it was late at night and too late to organise somewhere else to stay. We would have had to go back out into the night with our young children trying to find somewhere else to sleep and would not have likely found somewhere. If we had been informed in time that you were not going to provide us with the accomodation we had agreed on, we would have found alternative accomodation. The owner promised to refund us the full amount. The other owner also agreed and promised this. Now it's been a while and we haven't got the money back and they didn’t answer the messages anymore. I find it very annoying that they have promised something and not kept it. I find it very annoying that they treat customers this way.
