Hideaway Litchfield NT

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The property is in a remote area of the national so it felt like a great get away. The kitchen had essential supplies and breakfast ingredients. There is a cafe next door that sold great coffee

There is no phone signal and the wifi was very limited.

Secluded, peaceful, bird life

Unusual building : two containers stacked on top of each other, connected by outside stairs with a great deck at the top level to look at the stars - or watch the little wallabies in the morning zipping a coffee. Downstairs is a big deck with a fan above the comfortable seating area and the house is surrounded by trees and nature. Big comfortable bed, shelving to store one's belongings on one wall and two ceiling to floor windows as advertised with a view into the trees. Upstairs is also the spacious bathroom with a great shower. Kitchen was well equipped, the little loaf of bread waiting for us was fresh & delicious; also had some eggs and bacon in the big fridge. Everything was thoughtfully designed, sourced and presented and we felt "at home". Many of the falls are close by, so easy travelling. As advised by our host, we brought our own provisions as there is no supermarket nearby.

We loved little things made us happy - chocolate, coffee, ice cream…all local products! Very environmentally friendly mind resort. Best thing was watching red tail black cockatoo from our balcony. And amazing art cafe…!

Great location and lots of supplies to keep the meals going.

Internet in Cascades was patchy inside

Serene and private location. Star gazed from bed. House comfortable and interesting. Filled with treats. Wish we had stayed longer.

Brilliantly conceived, located, built and fitted out. Absolute tranquility in a bush setting under a canopy of stars. Close to Litchfield's best waterfalls, walks and swimming holes.
