"Disappointing"

4.0

Very quiet and a lovely place

The sheet on the bed wasn't clean and bunched up in the middle of the bed, we had to turn the sheet over as there were marks on it, also the pillows are very flat the 2 chairs for the table are collapsible and uncomfortable. We also had to clean the airfryer before use as it had been used and was dirty.

"Quiet location good for a short stay."

7.0

It was in a very quiet location considering its close proximity to a pub. It was clean and we got a friendly welcome from the host.

It was quite small however had enough facilities for an overnight stay or maybe two nights, we struggled with no where for clothes.

"Cute, cosy, hot shower, romantic setting."

7.0

Comfy, cosy bed, peaceful area, not hassled by anyone popping round. Owner was helpful with directions to the hut. Good level of cleanliness. Key was ready for us to let ourselves in/out. Hot shower. Working fridge. Nice kettle. Tea, sugar and coffee available. Lovely guest book and welcome book. Good wifi and the tv apps worked. Lovely lighting inside and outside.

The mattress seems slightly wider than the base (I could be wrong). The size of the bed was fine for 2 people, bigger would be better but it was fine for a 1 night stay. There was a small stain on one of the towels but it wasn’t a big deal, as we had brought our own and didn’t feel we needed to mention this to the owner at the time. The hut garden directly faces the back of a hotel, with the individual windows facing the hut. It made it feel less personal and I would have preferred to have known this beforehand (more photos of the garden views are needed I think). Thankfully, this didn’t have a negative impact on our overall experience. I would add a tiny suggestion of adding a little sign to the hut, so that it can be more easily spotted on location. Overall, a lovely stay in a cute little hut. It did have everything we needed for 1 night and the views over the hills are lovely. Thank you for having us.

"Overpriced and exceptionally poor"

2.0

The pub being nearby

This is really not fit for purpose, we have had caravans bigger than this place. The bed was uncomfortable and exceptionally small for 2 people, the pillows are old, there was stuff all over the table, not that we could access it anyway once our x2 bags were in. Only 1 milk capsule, congealed coffee in the pot, no tea towel, no WiFi or working TV. We were not looking for luxury but we did hope for something at least comfortable We presume this is aimed at walkers (exactly what we were) and I can assure you after 16+miles this was a very disappointing and overpriced evening. Also, why no "Hut" signage on your gate?
