"A lovely home away from home 🙂"

10.0

The cottage was smartly presented, fresh and clean with modern furnishings. Sofa and bed were very comfortable. Shower was fab with excellent water pressure. Facilities also include a newish washing machine, cooker and microwave available to use if required.

Only comment we have is a simple suggestion that maybe bedroom and bathroom require some hooks on back of doors to hang towel and clothes while washing.

"Passable"

5.0

Private parking for at least one car. Pleasant, peaceful and secure garden. Pleasant location. St Agnes cove and Portreath both very nice beaches.. Comfortable double bed. Good, clean and recently fitted shower. Washer drier (but drier program didn't work). Fridge/freezer Much larger kitchen than the photo shows. Log burner and logs. Dogs welcome Salt pepper, olive oil, milk, biscuits, shampoo, conditioner, shower wash, wash up liquid provided.

NB It is an old and characterful cottage so you can't expect hotel standards: Still, less than 'sparkling' condition. - Damp patch in lounge (reported to owner who promised to investigate) - As advert states (but worth repeating) the stairs are not suitable for anyone with dodgy knees as the handrail does not reach the top and the loo is downstairs - so I used the sofa bed which was comfortable enough. - Slow wifi measured between 3.9 to 5.7 mbps during our stay - 'Streaming services' translates to: You can 'try' to access TV via a BlueRay player using your own logins to BBC iplayer, ITV X, Netflix, Prime etc. After 3 days of trying - I gave up. (So advise taking a Firestick or be prepared to partake of the large collection of books and DVDs available). - Limited information provided in welcome email and no appliance instructions. You are asked to message the owner with any questions; who, in fairness, replied promptly. - Only 1 hand towel provided for 2 people for a week and a smallish towel each - so take your own. Also take your own bin bags, air freshener... and loo rolls for when you arrive... only 10 'sheets' provided. - Upstairs 'Wardrobe' spaces were NOT suitable. However there is a large cupboard downstairs with a large array of wetsuits and room to hang your clothes. - Toilet is awkward and unsteady (faces the wrong way) therefore not the easiest to 'access' for anyone with mobility issues. - Generally needs a deep clean I e. Internal doors and inside cupboards need painting.

"A thoroughly enjoyable one night stay, air bnb style (you don't meet anyone)"

10.0

This is a fine cottage=style stay. We stayed one night and it was perfect. Hidden away, and quite hard to find but the host sent clear instructions - which were needed, so take note. Would definitely stay here again if in town.

The cottage has most of the amenities you could want whilst on holiday, although small. It has a good heating system, which was needed as the evenings were getting a little chilly. A booklet had been left with clear instructions on how to use the cooker etc. which although we didn’t use, is always helpful. A small fridge, but could keep essential foods and milk in it. The shower over the bath was adequate and the water a good temperature. The owner kindly left us biscuits, teabags, sugar and a pint of milk, which was gratefully received. Although only accessible via an alleyway, this didn’t really seem to be a problem. Car parking behind the property in a council carpark offered free parking from 6pm to 9am, then charged throughout the day. The town of Redruth unfortunately is rather run down, like a lot of towns these days, closed shops and not as much to offer as a few years back. Would be happy to stay in the cottage again, but we only used this town as it was convenient for meeting up with family.

"A cute small cottage with all the basics you need. Clean and comfortable with nearby free parking from late afternoon to"

8.0

It had a washing machine and dryer. It had all the facilities we needed and the parking was good too. Not on site, but close by. It was also clean and comfortable except for the shaggy rug on the lounge which didn’t feel great when I walked on it barefoot. It’s something that could easily not be realised by the cleaner, as it appears clean to look at.

Stairs are a bit of a hassle with large suitcases - we just left our downstairs. Unfortunately they took up a bit of room, and it is only a small cottage. We were out a lot though, so it didn’t pose too much of an issue for us. Directions could be a little clearer too as we found it a bit hard to find despite asking a couple of locals.
