Barn Cottage - Farm Park Stay with Hot Tub

Location is beautiful

Yhe accommodation was fabulous I've been here twice and me and my kids will definitely be returning

the cottage from the outside appeared nice, the views from the garden were beautiful.

the property was filthy, the garden overgrown with nettles, there was dust and cobwebs inside and on the decking furniture, the dome was FULL of bugs, the hot tub was grimy around the jets. some of the group found hairs in their bed which makes me wonder how clean the bedding was. the kitchen appeared clean until you took a closer look, the appliances and crockery were dirty and stank of grease. the fridge was broken and cramped! we were told on arrival that we were not to have a party but i told the owner we were at then cottage for my birthday with friends and would be drinking and eating and listening to music out the garden. we booked 2 nights and on second day we were told off and asked to leave for playing music and being loud in the garden until 1:30 which wasn’t true because we were in bed by then. (we had taken our own speaker and the owners saw me taking this into the house but didn’t say anything - there was also a huge sound system already at the cottage for playing music so they should consider removing this if they do not want people playing music). the owner was very hostile towards my friends and said to them “i knew you’d be the type to party as soon as i saw you” which is downright rude and presumptuous! so i decided to go over and talk to him. i apologised for the noise and explained we may have gotten carried away with having a good time, and he told me that at one point he was standing outside considering cutting off the electrics - which is both creepy and unnecessary, because at any point he could have knocked and asked us to turn the music off. (i appreciate it is our responsibility to ensure we are mindful of other guests in the area but there wasn’t any one in the building next to us) anyway after some talking he agreed to let us stay providing we put our speaker away. we cleaned the place before we left and were amicable and polite with the owners but on reflection i have to give this place a poor review.

Location is stunning. It's out of the way so no road noise. Hot tub was lovely as was the real fire and BBQ. Lots of room for all of us and good kitchen facilities. As it's a working farm there are animals to see as well.

We had the best time away. The cottage was beautiful and authentic. It was clean and comfy. The hot tub was warm and worked well. Everything we needed was there. All staff were friendly and helpful. The farm was so lovely with lots of animals to see. We would definitely come again
