Tudor Lodge

The grounds are beautiful. The pool and BBQ hut are fantastic and can be enjoyed whatever the weather. The lodge has all you need and the beds are comfy. The hosts are lovely and welcoming and their dogs give the best cuddles (but only if you want them!)

Lovely lodge, heated pool and indoor bbq area. Dennis was a brilliant host and welcomed us warmly. Would highly recommend the lodge for a relaxing, peaceful break!

The location is perfect. Quiet, peaceful and near to shopping. The pool and the BBQ hut are a great addition.

Stayed here for 5 days July 2024. The lodge is situated in really peaceful beautiful surroundings and the pool and BBQ hut are a great addition (although sadly we didn’t get the weather). Dennis was very friendly and helpful. I note the only person to leave a negative review previously was blamed for the issues. We are just a normal little family and I can assure you we didn’t break or leave anything in a mess. The negative for me is the cleanliness and how tired some things are. This lodge was probably amazing when everything was new in 2004 but it needs a little bit of money spent to bring it back to the standard you expect when going on holiday. A distinct aroma of dog was present on entering the lodge. I took photos when we arrived so as not to be blamed for any of it. The bed has had its day with two large dips in the mattress making it very uncomfortable. The sofa cushions had been turned over as they were grubby. I lifted the seat cushions and hoovered up the previous guests crumbs. I found myself cleaning the hob and wiping around. Lots of things stored around the hob and hood are sticky. Some areas of the worktop were poorly tiled and unhygienic. I found bits and crumbs in the cutlery drawer which is unpleasant. The shower seal had been poorly repaired which looked awful and held the dirt as seen as well as the dirt around the outside of the shower. I ignored the inside of some of the cupboards because otherwise I would have continued cleaning. The fridge light doesn’t work and the shelves inside the door are broken. The water pressure is so slow it takes a long time to shower and wash up. Maybe we expect too much but we have stayed in similar style properties and they have always been immaculate and smell fresh and clean. The emminities are all there but there is a distinct lack of cleanliness, repair and replacement of things that people on holiday are going to use. The bed and the sofa definitely feel 20 years old!!

Fantastic secluded location, shopping only 23 mins away. Great to have a private pool. WiFi if you need it perfect for catching up with work!! (Not planned) Log cabin itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. BBQ area is unique and fun.

Owners are lovely. Location is beautiful and great for driving to different places. Lodge is clean and homely and comes with everything you need. Pool is fantastic. Gardens are gorgeous. Bbq hut is fun to use and coals are provided.

Great stay at the tudor lodge with fantastic hosts liz and Dennis, amazing bbq hut 🛖 for our nightly feast, swimming pool enjoyed by all, great location for visiting all of the cornish coast! Sunsets from the porch were amazing 😊 well equipped kitchen couldn't of asked for more, would definitely stay again! 😊

The location is stunning, such a lovely lodge in the countryside. The BBQ hut was a great part of our stay and we loved cooking in there. Loved just enjoying nature and relaxing, watching the sunset and marvelling at the incredible night sky. The hosts, Liz and Dennis, were really friendly and helpful. The area is lovely and there is lots to see and do - Cornglaze Caverns, Golitha falls, Siblyback Lake, Adrenalin Quarry, Looe. We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend!
