Merriwa Golden Fleece Motor Inn & Lodge incorporating Merriwa Motor Inn & Motel

Great location for a quiet stay, the pub across the road was perfect for dinner. We stayed while attending Scone warbirds air show and Merriwa is an easy, traffic free 45 minute drive from the airfield. We can't rate our stay the Golden Fleece highly enough, Pam our hostess was brilliant, explained everything about the local area and pointed out all the places in town to shop and eat - all are within a stone's throw of the motel! She couldn't have made us feel more welcome and at home; a stay at the Golden Fleece is highly recommended.

Pam is wonderful. The rooms are generous and spotless. The attention to detail is appreciated. We have no hesitation in recommending Merriwa Golden Fleece Motor Inn as a great place to stay.

There were no negatives at all.

The Motor Inn units are quite new and very fresh. A great deal of thought has gone into the facilities, for example: - night lights over the door keyholes - enough milk in the (full-sized) refrigerator for morning cereal (I do recommend the local bakery cafe for early coffees though) - plenty of space, luggage rests and a foldaway table, power boards - plenty of pillows - daily servicing - nice clean shower and complimentary soaps and shampoos and disposable razors for those who have forgotten - Pam is very helpful

I found the beds a little hard. I'm not sure if that is because the electric blankets had recently been added, as other reviews say the beds are very comfortable.
