Muunga Bush Lodge & Spa

This is a really special place. You can feel the love that went into it - we were fortunate enough to meet and chat with the owner, who was very kind and made sure we were well taken care of. The ambience in the common room is stunning, especially at night with candles lit, the doors and windows open to the night, and music playing. The dinner was delicious. The room was beautifully done and very comfortable.

We would have liked a door to the bathroom, and the transfer was a little expensive ($60 for a 20 min drive) - however, that's on us for not making the arrangements ourselves.

We had a wonderful stay at the Muunga Bush Lodge and Spa. The location was great, the service was outstanding, and the dinner and breakfast were excellent. Also loved the well stocked, self-service bar! Our host was incredibly accommodating and even allowed us to take his bikes out for a ride through the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, where we were able to see giraffes, zebras, kudu, and other game up close. It was such a unique and memorable experience that made our stay even more special.

The only minor suggestion we would make is that we would have preferred a door on the bathroom for a bit more privacy.

There is everything to love - one of the absolute best stays!

I have an auto-immune disorder with specific dietary restrictions. The chef and the staff were kind enough to cater a menu to my needs and I'm so grateful for the special meals that they prepared for me. The room itself was spacious and the entire facility is very calm and relaxing.

O hotel e nossa estadia foram perfeitos. Tudo é feito com extremo carinho e dedicação pela equipe, do café da manhã ao jantar, da arrumação dos quartos às dúvidas. O Tyler é um ótimo profissional e nos atendeu muito bem, e a Jenny e o Ruan. donos, extremamente cuidadosos e atenciosos. A decoração e os detalhes do hotel são muito bem pensados, sem contar na limpeza e bom gosto. Voltaria com certeza absoluta, a localização é excelente e o custo também extremamente justo.

Séjour exceptionnel au Muunga Bush Lodge ! Nous avons passé un moment absolument fantastique au Muunga Bush Lodge. Le lodge est d’une propreté irréprochable, très confortable et superbement décoré, avec une attention aux détails qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. La literie est parfaite. La chambre est très bien équipée, avec une cuisine fonctionnelle et une magnifique salle de bain, ce qui permet de profiter d’un séjour en toute autonomie si on le souhaite. Le petit déjeuner est excellent, et la présence d’une cheffe sur place qui prépare les repas est un vrai plus : tout est délicieux et fait avec soin. Pour les amateurs de vin, l'expérience de dégustation est également possible sur place car il y a une belle cave à vins. Un grand merci également au personnel, d’une gentillesse et d’une disponibilité remarquables, toujours prêt à aider et à rendre le séjour encore plus agréable. Enfin, le cadre est idéal pour les amoureux de nature : possibilité de faire du vélo ou de partir marcher dans la réserve, une expérience unique et ressourçante. Nous recommandons ce lodge sans hésitation !

Everything was perfect. What a nice stay! The hosts were so nice and welcoming.

Wir hatten einen absolut wundervollen Aufenthalt. Ein echtes Highlight unserer Reise! Ruan und Taylor waren hervorragende Gastgeber. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern ausgestattet und die Betten super bequem. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Lodge hat einen absoluten Charm inmitten des Reservats. Ruan hat uns bei der Aktivitätsplanung unterstützt und hatte wertvolle Tipps.

Minutes from the airport, the property is also in the wildlife reserve so there is easy access to a gated park. I loved the freedom of being able to walk and run to the park on my own! Ruan is so welcoming and helpful, it felt like staying at a stylish and homely b&b. He is prompt to assist with any questions I had, from activities to airport transfers. He had a career in wildlife photography and guide and has so much knowledge to share. I enjoyed my stay very much and look forward to returning again.
