"Didn’t happen"

We booked and paid via booking.com, and then were contacted the day before our stay by the property owner to say the room was double booked, and we were unable to stay. Property owner was apologetic, and polite n the phone, but given the short notice we were unable to find alternate accommodation for the weekend, which was very disappointing for our family.
