Lost Reef Resort

Very good value for money. The pool was great. Restaurant was good (when open) and the lobster was delicious. Kids loved the games that were available. The scenery is beautiful. We had the place for ourselves.

Restaurant was not open until very late in the morning. Therefore we could not take our breakfasts on site. Since the resort is very remote you need to factor a 15-30 minute drive to get to another place for breakfast (the one at Maya Beach Hotel Bistro was very good). Water was dirty and we could not really swim on site. We had to drive to beaches. The site is remote from the other touristy areas (30-40 minute drives). Bungalow and Beds were small for a family of 5. The owner was transparent on the fact that a family of 5 was too many for a bungalow but I felt that with some effort 2 large beds could have been installed (only 1 or 2 bungalows seemed occupied while we were there). There was no room service during our 3 night stay.

Beautiful location. Wonderful bungalows on the beach. Great food, friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back.
