Blue Lizard House

It is exactly as I expected based on pictures and other reviews I read. I am so glad I chose the south part of the island and Blue Lizard House! I’m not a big fan of noise and crowded places. This was the exact opposite of that. The pool and social area are very pleasant. The room is huge and the bed although hard was surprisingly very comfortable. The entire property is very clean and organized. The AC worked great. And as if that isn’t enough Liz and Luis are really friendly and were extremely attentive to anything I needed. I rented a scooter from them at a great rate. Breakfast was made to order each morning and really yummy. Liz prepares it with lots of love. The dogs are very sweet and it was cool to actually see the blue lizards on the property. I super recommend Blue Lizard House and will definitely stay here every time I come to San Andres!

We loved staying here because it’s located in the South of the Island where it is very quiet, tranquil and peaceful. The property is beautiful and has a lovely pool and gardens. Liz and Luis are the kindest, most attentive hosts, who made our stay so perfect. They gave excellent advice about where to go snorkelling and we were able to hire masks, snorkels and shoes. The breakfast is great and very substantial and there’s a mini bar with snacks and drinks in the room if you need it. Thank you Liz and Luis for making us feel so welcome and at home during our stay with you xxx

From the moment we arrived at this hotel in San Andres, Colombia, it was clear we had stumbled upon a truly special place. Our hosts, Liz and Luis, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They have crafted a haven of comfort, beauty, and tranquility in the south of the island, far from the bustling center, offering guests a peaceful retreat surrounded by the stunning sea and lush nature, including some remarkable lizards 🦎. The attention to detail is evident throughout the property, which boasts a cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated environment that instantly feels like home. But it's not just the aesthetics that make this place stand out; the breakfast served here is very good, and the swimming pool is so inviting that we often found ourselves wanting to spend the entire day lounging by its side. This hotel is a true gem in San Andres, offering the perfect blend of quiet and charm for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. We have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a serene, picturesque getaway. Liz and Luis have created not just a hotel, but an experience that we will cherish forever. If you appreciate tranquility and beauty, this is undoubtedly the right place for you.

The property is secure, private and quiet. Luis and Liz, owners, are quick to reach out after booking to explain important details such as Tourism cards, bug spray and airport pick up The bus stops directly in front of the property on the island’s perimeter road. We did not use the bus as we easily rented a Mule or scooter on site for each of the days. This allowed us easy access to all of the island’s amenities. The pool area was well kept with a variety of pool furniture. Blue lizards and birds are seen on the premises. Coffee is ready near the pool early each morning. Breakfast is made to order, prompt and can be eaten on the on suite deck or near the pool.

My husband and I loved everything! We enjoyed the facilities size since every room and lobby was design with plenty of space width and height. As an autistic adult, I have sensory overloads but I was feeling great all the time there. Plus, as a very detailed oriented person I valued themes and colors and enjoyed the walks and stories they shared with us. We highlight how everything was neat and clean all the time too. Liz and Luis are very kind and welcome people. As soon as we arrived there we felt like being with family around them. We really enjoyed the cultural exchange since they spend time with us showing us the culture, flowers, fruits, pictures and explained with clear instructions how the place works... Also, we got to taste delicious breakfast and snacks they prepared with such amount of love and dedication. It feels in the air the peace and beautiful place. If you want to experience a quiet and peaceful place to spend your vacation, this is definitely the right place for you. We can not wait to come back to Blue Lizard House. It feels both like at home with care and love 🏡 and like a 5 star hotel (clean, tidy, neat, quiet, peaceful, beautiful) plus as an autistic adult I found this place very friendly to spend your vacations.

Liz & Luis are excellent hosts. The house, breakfast and accommodation were well above our expectations. In a great location to explore the local beaches and restaurants .

There was nothing to dislike

What a lovely place! Delicious breakfast, beautiful decor, tranquil location, a short walk to a restaurant and the beach. Shy but sweet chickens and dogs. Owners on premises. Lizzie and Luis did everything to make me feel welcome, safe, and happy. A fantastic value. It’s like a small private villa. At half the prices in the center of town. It’s away from the fray, good for those who want peace and quiet. If you want action rent a mule or stay in town.

No stores nearby. I didn’t need anything but if you bring kids you probably need to rent a mule as they might want snacks or need more sunscreen, etc.

Relaxing, cozy property with spectacular sunsets included. The rooms are sparkling clean. The breakfast is such a lovely bonus each morning. The owners Liz and Luis make you feel right at home and are so very helpful.
