I loved the stay in a hut so close to the nature, surrounded by quiet forest, stunning view and sound of river. Huts are simple, no electricity, which I liked. Owner took care of meals which were amazing. Also the trip to the jungle was very well organized with fruit snack and lunch. Huts are located on a hill to which lead a steep path but it is only 5 minutes hike. Alltogether maybe 30 minutes of walk from the village. You can leave your heavy stuff with owner and take only necessary things with you. During breakfast time expect visit of monkeys.

If you're going to spend the time and money to travel to Bukit Lawang, then you're a nature lover, so this accommodation is exactly what will provide!! The view and the sound of nature is like nothing else ! You will also do trekking with them, and you won't be disappointed. You will be greeted by monkeys in the morning

That we only stayed 1 night! I would say a min of 2 nights is perfect and don’t worry about the luggage as you will leave it with them in the village!

It was truly a unique experience! One of my top. I loved how you felt surrounded by nature and could hear the sounds of the jungle. I highly recommend staying here rather than in town.

The property is remote you wake up to the sound of monkeys each morning which is amazing. The owner and the team working there are friendly and helpful the food was amazing and no ask was too big they made sure you were comfortable at all times

Amazing jungle trek through geunung leuser national park. We did the 3 day tour with Baloo, and it was absolutely amazing. We saw orangutan, gibbons, thomas' langur and loads of macaques. Our tour guide was amazing and managed to arrange a lot of things for us if we wanted something.

The refuge is in an idyllic place, if you want a fantastic disconnection this is your place! Uddin and his family are always willing to help, I did the trekking with his son and they were very respectful of the environment, which is very appreciated

Had the best time here. Initially booked for 1 night and then stayed for another 3! They have options of staying in the village or in the jungle, a tree house. I picked the latter. The place is simple and Udin's family that runs the place is amazing. Balu (Udin's son) was our trekking guide for the day and he was amazing. We saw 3 orangutans (a mama and a baby, and a lone one) along with other monkeys. Udin's wife Nuri cooks the food and every meal was lip smacking delicious. I was happy to be eating home food after my travels. On my last night in the village, Nuri was nice enough to give me a chicken rendang cooking class in her kitchen and then we ate the same dish with the entire family. All in all, if you're doing a Bukit Lawang trip it has to be with this family, or else are you really getting the authentic experience?

So great! From start to finish, so much so im coming back next year! Staff were so kind i felt like i had known them for years.. beautiful location and beautifully clean guesthouse.. Balu ( the owner ) was so hospitable and would would bend over backwards to help you in anyway.. What a place! Cant wait to go back! Terima kasih banyak!
