Glamping Monteverde

Carlos, our host, provided excellent directions to reach the property (which was very helpful, as it was a little complicated to get to). The property is absolutely beautiful! It sits at the base of a mountain, so you are surrounded by rainforest. Carlos and his wife did an amazing job of restoring this property. There are beautiful gardens, gazebos for enjoying the outdoors, pathways that lead between the domes and the historic farmhouse. We were the only guests staying, so it was like having a private glamping property all to ourselves. Carlos took great care of us with the included breakfasts and he made us dinner one night, which was excellent! The rooms (domes) were nice and functional (keeping in mind this is still glamping in the middle of nature, so expect some additional 'guests' like geckos and a couple bugs in the rooms). Overall, our stay was very relaxing and Carlos took great care of us!

The view is amazing. In the evening i could see the stars. In the morning, the rainbow in the garden is awesome.

It is too cold inside the dome, the water is too cold.. it is very difficult for me to take a shower. It is far from everything, but it is the price we have to pay for the good view.

The location is super nice (yes it is very remote). The general idea of the tiny houses and the capsules us also cool. And my tiny house was more comfortable than expected.

I had „special“ dinner on 25.12. - actually it was the worst I ever had - a frozen pizza warmed up, two tiny pieces of baguette with garlic butter and a juice from the box. Breakfast was also better. The room was not completely cleaned up (I had coffee rests in the sink). And of course you are in the wilderness - so I had some spiders in the room - if you are fine with that no problem, otherwise think twice. Strange was also that there was no host when you arrove or even the whole night. If something happens you are really on your own.

The place is beautiful, big enough, and has everything that you need, especially kitchen stuffs. It definitely feels like ecolodge, which is what I’m looking for Costa Rica trip due to the tremendous nature in the country. The location is abit away from the town but it is closed to the cloud forest, San Luis mirador and has a really nice view going up to town.

I arrived dark and the road is quite bumpy, which is quite typical in Costa Rica, and so I was abit scared. However, you get used to the bumpy road and super dark night when the sun is out in this area. It’s all good since the drive to town was actually nice due to the spectacular view.

Tolles Erlebnis in der Nähe des wunderschönen Nebelwaldes. Glamping in wirklich schön, gute Lage, sehr nette Gastgeber mit super Essensversorgung. Können wir nur empfehlen. Viele Kolibri s im Garten.

Peaceful

The food service was good and the staff were very accommodating.

The location was very hard to get to, including the road leading up to it. Once I got there I couldn't find my cabin easily. There was nobody around and I had to get help from one of the people renting a place there. Also lost electricity few times and thus lost Internet connectivity.

Het was een nette locatie, schoon met hele fijne zachte handdoeken. Ook was er koffie dat je gratis zelf kon maken. Het bed sliep heerlijk. Personeel was erg aardig. Voor ons met z’n 2en een heel leuke romantische plek, ontzettend genoten.

De weg er naar toe is wat moeizamer te berijden, maar met een 4x4 prima te doen.
