Sweet Jungle Bungalows

Great location at the end of the beach, set just a little back from the road with lush green foliage all around.

While Sweet Jungle must have been a lovely bungalow resort in its' earlier days. Unfortunately it has not been maintained in quite some time. The bungalows are moldy, with rotting wood inside and out. Air conditioners are old and barely functional. Bathrooms are filled with mold and ants abound. My hotel fridge worked, but didn't shut off, so everything froze. The grounds are overgrown and untended. Garbage has not been cleaned around the cabins or the restaurant for what looks like years. The owner was not on the property when we were there and the 2 fellows in charge did the very least possible. Our rooms were not cleaned at all over our 5 day stay. The restaurant was closed and even the puppies were not fed. It's a sad state of affairs because if it was cleaned up and repaired, it would still be a great little retreat.

Staff is really friendly, bungalows are really close to the port, lots of restaurant around, you can rent scooter here as well.

This place is amazing, the staff is so nice and helpfull. They did absolutely everything to make us feel as comfortable as possible. They helped us book activities, busses to our next stop. Absolutely wonderful people!

Good location

A big disappointment – ​​don’t go near it! Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a hotel. The place is full of insects and mosquitoes – so much so that you can’t sleep at night. There are no nets, no mosquito nets, and the entire area is simply not maintained. The place looks old, neglected, and not maintained at all. There was a feeling of complete neglect – both in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. The shower awkward improvisation – a cord tied to the toilet instead of a handle. Simply unbelievable. The worst – a dismissive attitude from the owner, not attentive and not trying to help, even when I politely approached him. No sense of responsibility or service, just indifference. I don’t recommend it at all.

The hotel is magical! The location on the island is superb, close to shops, restaurants and beaches. We were even able to walk to the nestival. The host is very helpful, kind and gives great tips! He recommended a non-touristy, heavenly beach close to the hotel. We were able to rent scooters for a good price, which made it easy to get around the island. The bungalows were very large, clean and above all very peaceful. The terrace is very pleasant. This hotel is truly paradise - don't miss out!
