Cabin by the river

We got extremely lucky with our 1 night here, the Aurora activity was high and the skies cleared, resulting in a magical encounter with the dancing Northern Lights. Directions were easy to follow even in the dark & snow and check-in was simple. Absolutely gorgeous cabin, all amenities were great, even some basics in the cupboards if needed. The heating was a little weak, but you cannot expect it to be warm in the middle of winter when it is -17⁰C. Grab a blanket and cozy up 😊 Overall, really impressed. If I come back I would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place to stay at ! this place is beyond expectations, huge cabin, nicely decorated, we really enjoyed our time there, it was too short to be honnest, I wish we had booked another night just to enjoy the cabin itself a little longer. The host was very friendly, I could go on and on about this accomodation, 10000% recommend !!

Location, privacy, sauna, outside fire pit, the river, owner's helpfulness

The location of the house is pretty good, and the main house was rather cozy.

The property was mostly as advertised, apart from one (big) thing - for our stay the sauna was not available. The owner had not informed us about it beforehand. Upon arrival, we found that the sauna house is completely frozen because of some burst water pipes. In most cases, if something like this happens, the owners reach out to the guests immediately, describing the situation. That clearly means that the owner had not checked the offered facilities before our arrival, so we were a bit disappointed, to say the least, as sauna was the main reason for booking this place. When talking with owner, although he was 'sorry', he refused to reimburse us (even partially) for this inconvenience, which I find absurd, if you're advertising it as a part of the property. Additionally, the cutlery found in the house was terrible and other kitchen utensils were not that good to use, so if you're expecting to cook here, I'd advise bringing your own tools.

Lovely cottage and set nicely off the beaten track. Had some fantastic northern lights above the cabin most of the evening.
