Spires Barn Lodge

The cows and horses were a little bonus for our daughter. Close to The Football tournament just down the road. Friendly hosts. Love their dog Olly.

Limited kitchen utensils

Great venue for large family groups. Plenty of room for children to run around and for us all to have our own space.

Spot on for racing fans and folks- just down the road from Ruapuna motorsport and speedway

Its a tight (trees /fences) driveway with large gear, very tight

The house, grounds and owners were lovely, we had an amazing time here and would definitely return. There was so much space for the kids to roam and have fun. The house has a lot of space and we were well looked after. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was perfect. Thank you.

Spires Barn Lodge is ideal for a large family group, group of friends or small visiting sports team? Space to spare! The bedrooms were very quiet and the beds very comfortable. A large lounge and very large conservatory with plenty of spare seating makes Spires Barn Lodge a very sociable location. The kitchen is large enough and well equipped for large groups. Although just out of Christchurch, only five minutes to Hornby for shops, and located in beautiful countryside.

When the sun is shining the conservatory gets very warm, some of the bi fold doors are quite difficult to open to let air in, maybe some work required to make these easier to use. But this is a minor quibble.

Leslie was an incredible host, was very accommodating to our group :)

Not a downside but just something to keep in mind there are no shops in close proximity so is worth coming prepared :)

The environment is very peaceful. The house feels so comfy. The Host was very kind and friendly ☺️. We got everything we needed, a very recommended place to stay! Thank you so much!
