"Great retreat in the mountains by the river."

Location was amazing, fantastic nature by the mountain river! Great place to breathe and meditate with exceptional food. Having seen almost everything in the area, this is probably the best place to stay.

The place was amazing! Very magical, quiet, the sound of the river is super calming. The surroundings are stunning and the staff so friendly!!!! Wish we could stay longer 😀

"Nice stay at a hotel with nice clean facilities, clean rooms, good food and friendly staff."

We had all our meals at the hotel, food was very good, menu offered all the local specialties. The location of the hotel was very scenic, right by the roaring river Cañete, surrounded by mountains.

The rooms were very cold, but once you were in bed you didn’t notice any more.

"This is where you want to rest and relax after a couple of hours driving on winding roads"

Large, clean room and bathroom. Extremely picturesque location high up at about 3000m in a valley and with a whitewater river running by. Very comfortable bed. Alfredo and his team/family also provide lunch and dinner and they were always available to help or provide whatever extra we asked for.

"MAGICAL AND INCREDIBLE"

THE HOTEL STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US! OUR STAY WAS INCREDIBLE BECAUSE THE STAFF ARE AMAZING PEOPLE! WE WERE VERY VERY LUCKY BECAUSE WE WERE THE ONLY GUESTS THAT STAYED AT THE HOTEL FOR 3 DAYS! WE FELT LIKE KINGS AND QUEENS! AND WE WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A PERSONAL SHOUT OUT TO ALEX THE HEAD CHEF OF HOTEL VILLARMA WHO PREPARED AMAZING LOCAL DISHES! HE IS SO FRIENDLY AS THE OTHER STAFF AND IS VERY HEART-WELCOMING! WE LOVE THIS HOTEL AND WILL CERTAINLY COME BACK! THIS IS A TRULY MAGICAL PLACE!

"We felt welcome, friendly staff and for sure we would love to return."

We loved everything about Hotel Villarma. From the moment we arrived, we crossed the river on a cute private bridge we were welcome by the owner’s brother, into their property. He was very friendly and made sure we got settled and he showed us their hotel. He even took my husband fishing in their river. The grounds are big, beautiful and pleasant. There we encountered two friendly alpacas, and three nice rescued dogs; el negro, blanco y la gringa. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. In the morning we had breakfast provided by the hotel. The owner Carlos sat we with us and we enjoyed a nice chat with him. We connected with him really well and we found out he was a great animal lover.

No dislikes. The property was wonderful.
