Family run property and they were super friendly & accommodating (even offered to drive us across town when changing hotels). Communication through email was good. Cozy place. Tasty dinner & breakfast! They had a great basement facility for snowboard and ski gear, including a drying room as well as tuning stands & wax!

My partner is sensitive to dust and he was sneezing all night long in the room. The room appeared clean on the surface but it must’ve just been the age of the building or not as frequent deep cleans that triggered it. He didn’t have issues at the other 3 hotels we’ve stayed at. I understood that there were no bathrooms in the room but the shared facilities were a bit disappointing/inconvenient. There are no bathing facilities apart from the private onsens. There are two private onsens you can book on a whiteboard in person. Unfortunately, when we checked in around 4 PM there weren’t any timeslots left until 8 PM. We opted to go to the public onsen to bathe but the most of them and the one we went to didn’t have any stools to sit on nor any showerheads and the water was too hot to get in. So we just had to sit on the floor and mix the onsen water with the cold tap to clean ourselves. It would be more convenient if the onsen timeslots were 40mins instead of 1h (50m + 10m buffer), so there would be more slots, which was the case at the next hotel we stayed it. The sinks and toilets were for the whole floor and the facilities there were a little cramped and dated.

The food was amazing and the location is great.

I didn't realize there wasn't a bathroom in the room, but that was fine it was right down the hall, but it is shared bathroom.

The breakfast was the best part! It felt super homey, the food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. The showers are fun as you keep to Japanese etiquette.

I didn’t like I couldn’t use the showers past a certain time. I totally understand why though, not a big deal.

Die Pension wird sehr aufmerksam und freundlich von der Besitzerfamilie geführt. Für alle unsere Fragen und Anliegen hatten wir immer sofort eine Antwort/Lösung. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl!

Staff were very friendly. Location was good via car. Room was spacious and clean.

Toilet was so limited it was a lot of waiting a times. If there are loud guests, there is no sound proof.

Very helpful staff. Location was perfect with an Onsen about 40 meters away, 6 minute walk to gondola and minutes walk to restaurants.

Had to order breakfast 1 day in advance.

The private baths were perfect after a day of skiing, and the breakfast was excellent.
