Linville Falls Lodge & Cottages

The location was nice and pretty comfortable. There was a general store, gas stations, and a dollar general not too far away if you needed something. There was a breakfast nook that provided a nice little breakfast if you wanted.

There was no fridge or microwave and no comforter on the bed. We had to flag down someone to bring more towels, rags and toilet paper. The bathroom door didn't latch well so you could jiggle it to unlock it.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean.

Corner shower is so small you can't turn around. Turned faucet on to warm the water and since the shower is so small the water sprayed across the bathroom.

Location is great

Not well equipped. Service is also not very good.

The old-time hominess did not mean lack of modern conveniences. PLUS, they’d turned the heat on after all day in VERY cold weather (real feel was 2 degrees). Both the owners and manager didn’t mind carrying on real conversations and seemed super grateful to be able to help others after Helene.

The door handles need new locks or adjusting. Quite difficult to get in or out without a good amount of jiggling. Still, because of the community, cameras, lighting, it was more than safe. I could’ve left it unlocked and felt just fine.

David greeted me upon check-in. He was extremely nice and made me feel right at home. The room was lovely and we enjoyed our stay so much.

The property was easy to find, clean, and was well lite. The breakfast nook area was great and offered plenty of snack options and plenty of breakfast options. I really like the ease of check in and the check out time of 12pm.

Clean and affordable

Our room had vintage wooden paneling that had been beautifully restored and rock walls! Bath had the latest fixtures, even a jet tub.! Numerous seating areas outside. What's not to love about this place.
