Glass smashed on floor near door to go in Burn marks on carpet, animal poop/ mud in carpet White stains/ marks on sofa Showers weren’t great, both a bit broken Bikini left on decking and the bottoms were left in the hot tub

NOT AS ADVERTISED. The customer service for here is shocking! We booked the lodge simply as it’s advertised with privacy screens. Unfortunately there were no privacy screens, when we asked we got told 2 different things…. the storm broke them the previous night and then got told a customer broke them a while back. I then read back some reviews to see they hadn’t been there the previous week either. Customer service was shocking, not bothered in the slightest that this impacted our stay massively. No phone call before we arrived to inform us of this. No other options where given nor any sort of compensation. Totally ruined our holiday, would absolutely not recommend!

On arrival we noticed that privacy screens for hot tub were broken.. we reported it but nobody bothered even send the message. We tried to contact owners many times about screens and deposit but there was no response at all.

I booked a stay with yourselves from 6.3.23 to 8.3.23 On the morning of our stay I phoned and spoke to a staff member about securing a late check out and she informed me that the lodge would be ready at 2.30pm to check in (usual check in time is 4pm) We departed earlier to make the most of the time we would have and it worked perfectly as I had an important meeting to attend via TEAMS at 4pm. We arrived at check in at 3 pm and were met with very pleasant reception staff who told us the lodge was all ready for us and gave us the information we needed to enter. When we entered the lodge it was clearly not ready and in fact it had not been tended to since the previous guests had left. The beds were not made up, the cushions were all over the floor and dirty linen was also thrown on the floor. There were dirty towels around the lodge and lots of items were out of place. We returned to reception and the reception staff apologised and this was rectified an hour later. Once we returned to the lodge it had been cleaned to a good standard. However, we then noticed further issues: When I attempted to put up the privacy screen around the hot tub, only 2 of the screens were in working order, meaning there was no privacy at all. The screen around the right side of the decking were damaged and placed behind the outdoor furniture. The half that did work is in poor condition (dirty and sagging) The outdoor lighting on the decking is not working at all, it is unsafe and is a health and safety issue when accessing the hot tub in the dark. We choose this lodge because of its featured privacy screens and sunk in hot tub, together with the lighting as illustrated on booking.com, so this was a major disappointment and we were concerned about using the hot tub after dark which, at this time of year, does not leave much time at all.

Loved the hot tub , size and space of the lodge, complimentary teas ,coffee and biscuits will definitely book again
