Finca Terra Viva

Attention la liste sera longue. A notre arrivée personne nous attends, nous avons due téléphoner pour avoir le service. La réception! : une cabane dans un champs!! On a demandé de visiter les chalets avant d’accepter cela nous a été refusé. On a donc payé et pris possession des chalets. Chemin pour se rendre au chalet très cahoteux donc difficile d’accès avec nos valises avec un réel danger de briser nos roues. Un chasse moustique trônait sur le comptoir cela nous a surpris. Il faisait très froid à l’intérieur aucun chauffage d’appoint. Tout sentait l’humidité, les draps , le matelas, les serviettes étaient humides. Les draps avaient des taches apparentes. La porte principale ne fermait pas bien. Les fenêtres des salles de bain ne fermaient pas de manière étanches, elles laissaient passer beaucoup d’air. Donc très froid pour prendre une douche. Il y avaient également des insectes dans les coulisses des fenêtres. Douche très difficile à utiser, ajustement de l’eau presque impossible. Aucun produit de soins disponible. Parlons maintenant de l’excellent déjeuner continental servi par l’établissement!! Tous les ingrédients étaient dans le petit frigo, on devait donc préparer nous même notre déjeuner et faire la vaisselle à l’eau froide car pas d’eau chaude au lavabo de cuisine. Le lait dans un pot de verre n’était certainement pas pasteurisé et homogénéisé car une importante couche de gras trônait sur le dessus . Nous avons quitté après une nuit, impossible de rester dans de telles conditions. Nous demandons donc un remboursement car le descriptif et les photos ne correspondent pas à la réalité. .

Eine riesige und sehr saubere Unterkunft. Ein sehr freundlicher Besitzer und tolle Auswahl im Kühlschrank für das Frühstück. Es war alles perfekt, auch zusätzliche Decken wenn es in der Nacht etwas kälter wird.

Our stay in Monteverde was truly special and felt like stepping into a peaceful countryside dream. The wooden cabin was warm, cozy, and beautifully set among the lush greenery, giving us a perfect sense of privacy and connection with nature. One of the most memorable touches was receiving fresh eggs and milk straight from the farm—it made the whole experience feel authentic and thoughtfully curated. Enjoying such fresh, local ingredients in the quiet of the mountains was something we’ll never forget. The surroundings were stunning, with the sounds of nature all around and that crisp, fresh air Monteverde is known for. It was the perfect place to unwind, slow down, and fully appreciate the beauty of the area. Everything about the stay felt genuine and welcoming. If you’re looking for a cozy, nature-filled escape with unique farm-to-table touches, this cabin is an absolute gem. We would happily return.

Finca Terra Viva absolutely broke my brain. I woke up every morning inside the clouds, staring at this magical mist like a happy idiot waiting for forest fairies to hand me coffee. Breakfast turned into a full family ritual with the eggs, bread, juice, milk, cereal, fruits, and coffee they stocked for us. We cooked together, sat on the porch, and forgot how to be normal humans. At night the forest went into absolute mayhem. The luciérnagas came out flashing, the glowing orange click beetles showed up clicking and floating around like tiny LED lanterns, and together they looked like rave fairies throwing a party in the trees. I swear one of them was the DJ. Somehow we still managed to give our son the most unhinged and legendary 15th birthday ever. We climbed a 150 foot hollow ficus tree at Finca Modelo, zip lined and “bungee” jumped at 100% Aventura, and wandered between Selvatura and the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve like we lived there. And Jose Daniel at reception? A wizard. We’re anti planning and he made that feel like a legitimate travel strategy. We texted him anything we wanted and he made it happen instantly. Reservations, tours, whatever. Boom. Done. He’s the reason our chaos looked organized. If you want a place where you can lose your mind in the clouds, watch rave fairies at night, cook breakfast with your family, and accidentally give your kid the best birthday of their life, this is the spot. It was so hard to leave 😭!

We loved everything about Finca Terra Viva. Amazing location, very peaceful and the accommodations and staff were wonderful.

It was private, lots of birds, nice view. Could see fireflies at night from bed. Was clean. Great value. Exactly what we were hoping for.

L’établissement est très beau et très bien situé, la baie vitrée offre une vue imprenable sur le champ en face. C’est reposant !

L’équipement est un peu limité et le petit-déjeuner un peu light
