Please note that Rancho de Lelo is located at 25 minutes from Santa Elena, there is no public transport to the area, so guests will have to have their own car or request private transportation (taxi). Our restaurant only serves breakfast and the nearest restaurant is located in Santa Elena town or you can use ou comunal kitchen if you prefer.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. In the event of an early departure, the property will charge you the full amount for your stay. This property is accessible by an unpaved road, which might not be suitable for some vehicles. Beautifully located with great hosts and excellent food !!

The road to the lodge is not easy for a non 4x4 car and takes around 20 minutes.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The location is impossible to find, and the staff is less than helpful. There are so many nicer places in Monteverde that are cozy, comfortable, and convenient. I have traveled extensively, and this property is the worst in my experience . STAY AWAY FROM THIS LODGEE. It is a zero rating

"Best ever"

This was such a wonderful place to stay. The food was fabulous. The cabin comfortable. And the family is the absolute best. Friendly, helpful and just awesome. It was so worth the long Costa Rican massage to stay here.

Quiet place and good breakfast

Restaurant closed due to renovation. Distance to nearest restaurants is minimum of 20 minutes by car. Would have liked to be informed about this before arrival.

Breakfast was excellent and location is awesome! Our dinner was also great! Our hosts were so kind! It was a great visit.

The two things I can think of would be two fans in our room would be nice as it was a bit warm. Also some hooks to hang towels from 😊

We loved the location so much. It was gorgeous and we didn’t want to leave! The food was excellent and priced affordably. And most of all we loved the kind staff.

I think they should warn people about the different roads to get there. The one that google maps takes you(from Monteverde) is a very rough and STEEP dirt road that requires 4wheel drive. Luckily we had 4 wheel drive. It was well worth the adventure of getting there!! It felt like a it’s own paradise.

Peaceful and beautiful location. Owners are very kind. Food is very good.

Recommendation: have a (offroad) rental car, as you need to take expensive taxis otherwise. We were missing an area to enjoy the sun with sun loungers.
