Chapa Ecolodge

What a wonderful property set in rice fields just outside of Sapa. We loved the fact that we could wander down to the Y Linh Ho villages nearby. A Grab was 10 minutes to Sapa. We enjoyed the meals, individual cabanas, and the guest fire pit in the outside common area.

We went in January, just be prepared that the dining room may not have heat. We wore layers for meals, which really wasn’t a big deal.

The place was outside the city center, quiet setting with great views

Beautiful view, style and quality of the interior. True rustic experience. Strongly recommended for spring / autumn.

Not recommended for winter as the heating was insufficient for January.

Lloc molt tranquil fora del caos del centre de Sapa. Fàcil arribar-hi amb taxi o moto llogada. Les vistes son fantàstiques i el llit i la dutxa molt còmodes.

Vam passar fred a l’habitació. L’esmorzar és senzill però bo.

Very helpful and welcoming staff. Communication was excellent. They organised private pickup from Lao Cai station at 6am. Vang looked after us very well. Very hospitable. Breakfast was included and whilst not buffet, you can order as much as you want from the breakfast menu.

We loved everything.

Beautiful bungalows and small lodge are tastefully done. Staff is outstanding, Vang was helpful and attentive.

We were unfortunate in having unusually cold weather and the lodge was cold for meals. The heat pump in the bungalow was inadequate for heating. Another warning for older couples like us -- there are many steep steps to and around the property. Otherwise the property and staff were excellent and deserve a 10.
