Cuna del Cielo

The room we got was very large and spacious. The AC was a blessing and worked well! The room had everything that one could want. The B&B, perched on the heights, had a lovely outlook to the sunset and the town below. Having a drink while watching the sun set and chatting with other guests made for a very pleasant evening. The host, Viktor, was very gracious and kind and full of information on the town. We would definitely recommend this place and return.

The breakfast was the only low point of our stay. It could be greatly improved. Some bread, for starters, maybe croissants, pastries, would be nice?

I loved everything about my stay at this property! It’s essentially a house with four really incredible guestrooms. The main living room offers stunning views of San Miguel de Allende! Breakfast was lovely and you could request it in the privacy of your own room. Didn’t use the hot tub on the roof but I did make use the steam bath. And my Japanese bathtub in my room was fantastic. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious and relaxing. Owner was extremely responsive via WhatsApp. A hidden gem and a wonderful stay!

It is up on the hill in a more remote part of town. It looks close to town but it’s quite steep/but you’re better off using taxi/uber, about 80-100 pesos to/from city center.

If you are even remotely hesitating to book this property, just do it. You will be forever pleased with your choice. This place is an amalgam of beauty, serenity, lushness, and wellness. Visit the property’s site and read the endless raves! They don’t do the place and Viktor, the host, justice. I could use very apt superlatives to describe Cuna del Cielo, but I’ll leave them to your magical experience. If you pass on staying at this brilliant escape, consider it your loss. It is truly nirvana-like.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Viktor is a generous and caring host, and we enjoyed getting to know him. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Room was spacious with comfortable beds, and good Internet connection. Bathroom offered a tub and shower. There were even robes to wear when using the hot tub and sauna. I also used Viktor's exercise equipment. One of the reasons we chose Cuna del Cielo was its location, because it is away from the city center and very quiet, and also because it's right next door to the Botanical Gardens so it's just a quick walk to the entrance. We definitely would like to return with friends and family and spend more time at Viktor's lovely home.

We loved everything about Cuna del Cielo. It’s a truly special place with special and wonderful people. It feels like going home in the best way possible. If you’re planning on going to San Miguel, book Cuna del Cielo. You won’t regret it. We hope to be back soon!
