Graskop family retreat and backpackers

One of the employees attended to our concerns immediately. The bedding was clean and the room was available as soon as we arrived.

The fridge door handle had mould on it. The kettle was broken and we had to ask for a new one. I requested parking but could not park next to the room we stayed at, I parked at reception. My mother was very concerned about the safety of the car as we are not familiar with the area and she could not see the car when she peeped outside. She unlocked the door several times during the night to check on the car. The shower tiles had so many cracks in them.

The stuff lady was friendly, yes she was I remember her very welcoming. Super Stuff she was. She tried so hard to make us feel comfortable. She did apologize for the state of the room and bed we were to use.

Now to the room🚶‍➡️. The room was just standard but the bed.🐈.oh that bed😭.! The was very old and done, the staff lady had warned us about the bed. Me being a man I Just needed a bed and a roof🙈.eeeh I wasn't prepared🐈 for was to come. I sat on the bed just to feel it and I knew right away that my night's expectations were kaput😭The mattress, oh that mattress curved under and provided no support, it was sagging and squeaking so much because of worn out springs🐈, I felt cheated that night, if it's understood how I mean🤦. I had cricks in my neck and back the next day. I felt so sad for my partner I let her down with the place, all the way from jhb to Graskop. The place made us feel like we were outlaws if not outcasts😅. The room was dark, the lights were not enough, it were like twilight all the way, but no howlings ey🤦. Ok, we were provided with just one small bathroom towel, 🐈we had to use it for everything. The hot water was not coming steady 😅😂. It was coming on and off, one moment while bathing it's hot water then suddenly it's coooold😭😭😭. My partner kept running out,🐈 I found it hilarious 😅. Eish my money😭. Eish never mind my cat🐈 it runs everywhere it's irritating sometimes.😭

The place is within the centre, so it was convenient .

The parking was limited, no Hot water

Facilities ok ,bed need to be changed, worse one is dirty kitchen, I have picture of fridge in case you need staff friendly ok ,problem dirty and comfort of beds

Enjoyed the stay, staff was very friendly and helpful, Was delighted to find out the rooms get cleaned daily, did not expect that!! Will definitely come back

The kitchen utensils was a little sparse, however the staff was ready to accommodate without hesitation. Not a complaint at all, merely a suggestion.
